ABOUT GREG POWELL

Greg Powell is recognised as one of Australia's leading authorities on horse handling. Having worked with horses since he was a boy, Greg has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge in the art of building lasting relationships with horses. Greg has identified that a special relationship with a horse can only be achieved through mutual trust and understanding and not fear and intimidation.

A master demonstrator of his art, Greg has appeared in many feature magazine and newspaper articles and on numerous radio and television shows. He has also appeared at a huge number of field days, horse events, clinics and other media related live events, demonstrating his horse handling skills with 'Snowy the Brumby Mare',  'Sammy the Arab' and 'Bruce the Kelpie'! The live shows are both entertaining and educational, combining Greg's natural 'on-stage' ability with his powerful horse handling skills.

Greg Powell's work with wild horses in the Snowy Mountains high country has generated much interest in recent years and was profiled in the recently completed documentary film - 'The Horse Handler'. For more info on The Horse Handler documentary film click here

Powell Entertainment is currently in production of a documentary, working title "Wild Kids - Wild Horses". This documentary features Greg's work with Father Chris Riley, the founder of Youth Off The Streets, and some young adults chosen by Father Riley to participate in the brumby project. The brumby project attempts to help those chosen to develop a relationship with their own brumby, encouraging life and social skills that will help them combat life. For more information click here
